The 234 km Hiiumaa branch of the RMK hiking route — Heltermaa to Ristna and back to Sarve — with every campfire site, forest hut, camping area and the Ristna visitor centre along the way.
The Hiiumaa branch of the RMK hiking route, opened in autumn 2021: 234 km around and across the island from Heltermaa harbour to Sarve campsite — which, after the full loop, ends just 3 km from the start. The map shows the trail together with its overnight stops: campfire sites (lõkkekohad), forest huts (metsaonnid), camping areas and the RMK visitor centre at Ristna.
The trail runs in four sections — Heltermaa–Kärdla (32 km) along village roads, Kärdla–Ristna (107 km) through the Tahkuna forests, dunes and northern beaches, Ristna–Tihu (36 km) and Tihu–Sarve (56 km) — and is marked with signposts and white-green-white paint blazes. The red line is the main footpath; purple lines are side branches (to Säärenina, Luidja, Sõru harbour, Sääretirp and the Sarve–Heltermaa link).
The trail line was drawn against the Estonian Land Board (Maa-amet) base map and orthophotos, so it may not match other base maps' road lines everywhere. Original map created 05.09.2021.
