The route starts on Town Hall Square with medieval portals and painted baroque door leaves, follows Pikk street's Renaissance and Art Nouveau entrances - including the 1640 door of the House of the Blackheads, Tallinn's most photographed door - then crosses into Kalamaja, where late-19th and early-20th-century wooden houses keep their bright panel doors, and finishes among the wooden villas of Kadriorg.
