Description
The easy, mostly level short route over Cleeve Common, the highest point in the Cotswolds and one of the country's finest wildflower- and butterfly-rich limestone grasslands. It stays up on the common, taking in the famous beech-tree landmarks and the escarpment edge, without the steep Postlip descent.
- Distance: 4 miles / 6.4 km
- Duration: 2–3 hours
- Difficulty: Easy, no stiles, mostly level
- Start / finish: old quarry car park by Cleeve Hill golf club — OS grid SO 989 272, postcode GL52 3PW
